Samui Football Golf
Muay Thai (Thai boxing) is one of Thai’s top games. Chaweng Stadium was founded more than 20 years ago in 1996. It was created to share the art of Muay Thai Boxing to the increasing number of Tourists coming to our Beautiful Island. It was the first boxing stadium on the Island and in recent years has moved to its new location.
Fighters from not only Thailand but worldwide come to compete the ancient art form. With fighters as young as 8 years old through to adults both male and female the stadium holds 6 fights in total twice a week, every Tuesday and Friday night from 9pm. The fights take place keeping it very traditional with the Wai Khru warm up dance as well as commentary and a DJ between fights.
For years the stadium has worked with many youngsters trying to keep them off the streets and away from drugs by offering them a place to fight in a safe environment. All staff at Chaweng Stadium are given the chance to train and fight along side their jobs. They have helped many charities and continue to work with the community and the local organizations in order to build up and prosper the Traditional Muay Thai Sport.
Muay Thai Chaweng Stadium
Sitting atop a hilly terrain, Wat Khao Hua Jook provides great views of the surrounding areas. The hilly terrain reaches approximately 90 meters above sea level, and visitors who make the climb will certainly enjoy the panoramic views from the summit. The wat (temple) is also close to the Koh Samui airport, therefore visitors will catch a glimpse of flights taking off and landing.
The wat’s tranquil atmosphere and serene setting are ideal for meditation. Many visitors come here to sit back and relax in this beautiful venue. Besides, locals often come here to spend the evening watching the amazing sunset across the Koh Samui Bay.
The temple is also known for its famous monument, a replica of Buddha’s footprint, which is kept inside the temple. On your way to the hilltop, you will meet with the Nathalie’s Art Palace and the famous Q Bar.
Those coming from Chaweng beach can take the opposite road to the north end of Chaweng Lake to access Kao Hua Juk Road. Visitors should continue along this road and then walk up a hill in order to admire the temple.

Central Festival Samui
The Green Mango Club Samui is an iconic nightclub on Koh Samui that’s also a shining attraction of Chaweng Beach’s nightlife. It even entitles its name to the street it effectively dominates – Soi Green Mango. It is a big, colourful, fun and energetic place and an essential choice on any night of Chaweng.
The club is right at the end of Soi Green Mango, where the partying only really gets started at midnight. This is also the time officially listed as Green Mango’s closing time, but the club routinely stays open until 5am and even later. Despite being one of the biggest dance floors in Koh Samui (as long as you don’t count the beach), the place is packed on most nights.
