The Eastern & Oriental Express tour from Singapore to Bangkok is the most luxurious train journey in all of Southeast Asia. Welcome to Singapore! Upon your arrival at the airport, our tour guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. After checking in, you may relax at your hotel or start to explore the city.

We start today's Singapore city tour from Merlion Park. Step into Merlion Park where the iconic Merlion statue stands on the waterfront overlooking Marina Bay. It is the one of the country's iconic attractions.

After that, we will take you into Chinatown and Little India to experience the exotic culture in this modern city. You may have a taste the local snacks here.

After lunch, we'll get in the relaxing Singapore Botanic Gardens - Singapore's first UNESCO World Heritage site and a testament to Singapore's reputation as a City in a Garden.

At about 5:30pm, let's take part in the Night Safari - the world's first safari park for night animals. It's a nature park which opens when all others close. The Singapore Night Safari is the perfect way to see nocturnal animals in their natural setting. Have an Indian buffet dinner at the onsite restaurant during the tour.

Transfer back to your hotel for a good rest.

Your private tour guide and driver will meet you in your hotel. You arrive at the Sentosa island by a cable car which is on Mount Faber. The cable car ride is exciting as you get a glimpse of the entire island and spot the major icons like the Merlion Statue.

During the full day Sentosa Island tour, you’ll visit the Madame Tussauds Museum, 4D Adventureland as well as view the spectacular Wings of Time Show. The 4D Adventureland theme park is an interactive entertainment zone and has something for people of all ages. Still, the best part of the entire day is definitely the Wings of Time show which is multi-sensory show with lights, music, water and sound.

The driver will transfer you to the Eastern & Oriental Express at Woodland Railway Station. Once you’ve boarded the train, spend some time settling into your compartment. You will spend 3 days on the train.

The Eastern & Oriental Express (E&O) is a luxury train with fully air-conditioned which is operating in Singapore, Malaysia & Thailand. All the facilities are luxury same as 5-star hotel. You'll find both the train itself and its staff truly excellent. The Eastern & Oriental Express is all non-smoking, although smokers can smoke in the open-air observation car at the rear of the train where you can also look back along the tracks, excellent for watching and photographing the scenery.

Afternoon tea is served just as the train travels over the Causeway Bridge separating Singapore from Malaysia. The jungle scenery makes for a stunning backdrop to your journey and will immerse you in the spectacular landscapes of the area.

As evening falls, put on your best and enjoy cocktails in the dining car, where a pianist will provide the soundtrack to your evening. Arrive at grand Moorish-style station of Kuala Lumpur tonight.

After a good breakfast (in the dining car or served in bed if you prefer), the train arrives into Kuala Kangsar. The town is famous for its grand architecture, including the fabulous Ubudiah Mosque, the Perak Royal Museum, and the Sultan Shah Gallery. You can visit all three sites before returning to the train.

Lunch is served with a view over the forests, rice paddies and limestone karsts. After meal, wander up to the observation car where you can watch the landscape change around you. A steward will keep you supplied with coffee, although this being Southeast Asia it's not exactly cold outside.

This morning the train will halt at the River Kwai Bridge, which was built by Allied Prisoners of War during the Second World War. Embark on a short boat tour under the Bridge while the coaches of the Eastern & Oriental Express are hauled across the Bridge for the photo opportunity. Guests leave the river barge at Kanchanaburi with time to visit the war cemetery and museum before rejoining the Eastern & Oriental Express at Kanchanaburi station in time for lunch.

As you reach Hualamphong Station in the center of Bangkok, it is time to bid farewell to your train crew and your fellow passengers. You'll be taken to your hotel by the tour guide and driver in Bangkok, where you'll spend 3 days sightseeing the delights of the city.

Depart your hotel at around 7:00am and drive for about 2 hours to the 100-year-old Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. You will ride a traditional long-tail boat to get around the floating village and experience the daily life of the locals.

After lunch, you will return to Bangkok to visit the reclining Buddha at Wat Pho. It was built about 200 years ago, and is one of the oldest temples in Bangkok and it houses the huge, gold-plated Reclining Buddha image.
 
After that, you move to the Grand Palace, the most revered royal monument and nation's landmark. You will also visit famous Emerald Buddha Temple (Wat Phra Kaew) located in the palace complex and the most sacred religious relic in Thailand - the jade Buddha image is preserved here.

Full day visit to Ayutthaya History Park, UNESCO World Heritage Site

After breakfast, you will be driven about 2 hours to Ayutthaya 80km north to Bangkok. On the way visit Bang-Pa-In Summer Palace.

Ayutthaya is the former capital of the Kingdom of Siam and a UNESCO world heritage site since 1991 where you will soak yourselves in the Thai culture and history. Wat Mahathat is undoubtedly the landmark in the ruin where you see the tree surrounds the head of the stone Buddha. The temples in the ruin recorded the prosperity and decline of ancient Thailand. During the visit, your guide will take you to taste the famous local snack-Roti Sai Mai (Roti Sai Mai), also known as "Sweet Angel Hair".

At last, we’ll experience Bangkok in the evening from the comfort of a Chao Phraya River cruise with a delicious buffet dinner. Get great views along the river including Wat Arun and the Grand Palace, and watch the city light up for the night.
