With the highest altitude to 5,634m and incomparable beauty of 8 peaks over 8000-level, trekking to Everest Base Camp is definitely a challengeable experience that many travelers want to do at least once in their life. The scenery along the way is magnificent. You can not only see the stretching snow-capped mountains but the majestic glaciers. The trail will pass by forest of oak, pine, and rhododendrons, the dwarf scrub, and moss and lichen area. Each day offers different picturesque landscape. On this trek, you will also see the breath-taking views of Mt. Everest (8,848 m), Mt. Thamserku (6,608 m), Mt. Ama Dablam (6,856 m), Mt. Lhotse (8,414 m), Nuptse (7,861 m). Besides, Sagarmatha National Park is also the home to Sherpa. You will get to the Sherpa villages and know their unique lifestyle, tradition, and culture. When you see the snowy peaks of the Himalayas and glacier you had dreamed of, you will be sure all the hard work is worth it!

Upon arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be greeted by your private tour guide and be transferred to your hotel by private car. The rest of day is free at leisure. You can relax in the hotel or explore the surroundings on your own.

After breakfast in the morning, you will transfer to airport to take a flight to Lukla(2804). It takes about 40 minutes. The flight will give you incredible views of the Himalayas before you touch down at Lukla Airport.
After landing, you will meet your guide and porter for a brief introduction. After lunch, you will gear up and start your trek to Phakding(2623m). Along the milk-white Dudh Kosi River, the path crosses streams, forest and tiny villages until reach your accommodation in Phakding.

From Phakding you will trek to Namche Bazaar(3440m) which is located at an altitude of 3450m inside the Sagarmatha national park.
The trail is a winding climb through the Dudh Koshi River and forest, then leads you to Monjo (2835m). From here, the trek starts to get a little tougher with a steep ascent to Namche Bazaar. Enter into the Sagarmatha National Park, you will continue to ascend to Namche Bazaar. Namche is the largest and most prosperous town in the Khumbu region.

Today, you have a day for acclimatizing to the high altitude. You will spend some time exploring Namche Bazaar. You can stroll in the markets, shops, cafes and take a short hike to Everest View Hotel. Located at the highest altitude on Earth, the Everest View Hotel boasts spectacular view of Mount Everest and Mount Lhotse from all of its windows. Afterwards, we will walk back to Namche Bazaar after visiting the Everest Photo Gallery and the Sherpa Culture Museum on the way.

After breakfast, you will trek to next stop, Tengboche(3867m). You will trek following the valley wall and you can get some great views of Everest mountain range out in front. The path then heads down into the valley floor then crosses over the river and ascend as you approach Tengboche.
Upon arrival at Tengboche, you can visit the Tengboche monastery from where the beautiful sight of Mount Ama Dablam, Mount Everest and numerous other peaks can be seen. It is also regarded as the spiritual hub of the Khumbu region and is the largest monastery in the area.

In the morning, you will say goodbye to village of Tengboche and head towards Dingboche(4350). It is a stunning day as you voyage through the valley as the glacier river flows down below while snow capped peaks loom in the distance.
When you leave Tengboche, you will begin a descent into the beautiful forest and can enjoy the shade as you pass through the village of Deboche. After passing through Deboche, the trail gains some elevation and you will cross a suspension bridge, then arrive at Dingboche. Dingboche, also was known as Summer Valley, is a Sherpa village from where you can closely see the views of Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and Island Peak.

Today is an acclimatization day up to Chukhung Ri viewpoint. Chukhung Ri is actually at 5500 meters, which is more than 1000 meters above Dingboche. This is a steep and strenuous climb and you don’t need to go all the way to the summit. But it’s a great excursion with incredible scenery. If lucky, you can catch the stunning sights of Makalu, the world’s fifth tallest peak on a clear day. Then, walk back to Dingboche.

Today you will hike from Dingboche to Lobuche(4930m), which is actually the second-highest village on the entire trail. Today is also the first time you will see the Khumbu Glacier. The views of the mountain peaks like Khumbutse, Mahalangur Himal, Lingtren and the Pumori will be remarkable on the way to Lobuche. Mount Nuptse also looms up ahead once you cross the glacier pass.

It is finally time to reach Everest Base Camp(5364m). From Lobuche your first trek to Gorak Shep(5170m), which is the highest village throughout the trek, and it is also the closest village to Everest Base Camp. The journey from Lobuche to Gorak Shep is along a rocky path. Upon arrival at Gorak Shep, you can have an early lunch, and drop off your bag before doing the round-trip trek to explore Everest Base Camp.
From Gorak Shep, the trail continues alongside the glacier until you reach Everest Base Camp. You actually can’t see Mount Everest from the base camp, but the surrounding peaks are still very impressive and dramatic. The trail continues past some Sherpa prayer flags as the rocky terrain leads you towards the famous Everest Base Camp rock, which is covered in hundreds of prayer flags. You’ve made it! Finally trek back to Gorak Shep to stay overnight.

Wake up in the early morning, we leave for Kala Patthar (5545M), which offers the awe-inspiring view of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Pumori and the other Himalayas. We then return to Gorakshep and trek downhill to Pheriche(4280m).

You will retrace the trail to Tengboche and still enjoy the beautiful views of the Himalayas behind.

You will walk through a dense forest filled with oaks, pines, and rhododendron then pass across several Sherpa villages. Heading down is a great feeling as you have accomplished reaching the base camp and you can now just breathe in the mountain air and enjoy the descent.

For the trek on the last day, you will hike towards Lukla descending along the steep trail and crossing the suspension bridge over the river. The trail pass by villages, Mani walls and rhododendron forest to Lukla.

Today, you will take your flight to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, transfer back to your Hotel in Kathmandu. The rest of day is free at leisure.

Today you will say goodbye to Nepal. About 3 hours before your scheduled flight, your guide will pick you up to the airport for your departure flight.
