Welcome to Luang Prabang!

Upon arrival at Luang Prabang airport, you will be welcomed by our guide and then transferred to your hotel. After check-in, have a good rest.

In the evening, your guide will take you to join a private Baci ceremony at a local family. As a traditional ritual of the Lao people, the Baci ceremony is held to celebrate important events and occasions, like Lao New Year, weddings, or in case of tourists, to honor guests. At the ceremony, an elder chants blessings and ties pieces of white threads around your wrists, which are believed to bless good luck for you. At the end of the ceremony, you will enjoy a feast of food with the host family. Joining in Baci ceremony at a local family is the best chance for visitors to delve deeper into Laotian culture and their spiritual life.

Get up early in this morning, you will have a chance to participate in an important ceremony - morning alms giving. Every morning, the pious local people offer their today's first pot of rice to Buddhist monks. Then stop to visit the fresh local market and back to hotel for breakfast.

Start today's sightseeing with a visit to the ancient Wat Xieng Thong Temple, which is a magnificent temple built since 1560. We will also visit Wat Visoun, which houses a large stupa with 34 meters high.

In the afternoon, spend some time visiting the Royal Palace Museum. It is a grand palace with various cultural relics. Next, visit the nearby Wat Mai. The impressive temple is one of Luang Prabang ‘s largest and most richly decorated temples. Finally, get back to hotel.

In the morning, you will take an exciting visit to the local market and learn more about the local products and ingredients used for cooking class. After returning to the kitchen, you will be guided to cook a few traditional dishes by our enthusiastic and knowledgeable instructors. Lunch starts when all your dishes are made. Enjoy your Laos cuisines!

In the afternoon, drive outskirt of Luang Prabang and through green rice paddies and farms. Stop to visit a few villages of H’mong and Lao Loum people. Your guide will introduce you to the local people, which is a great opportunity for you to involve in their daily activities, such as weaving, rice harvesting and picking green vegetable.

On your arrival at the Kuang Si waterfalls, you will first visit the bear rescued centre in the park. Then, enjoy the spectacular waterfalls and orchids surroundings inside the park. The falls cascade over many calcified tiers and down several hundred feet into a series of cool and turquoise pools. You can jump into the cool water and refresh yourself. After the tour, return to Luang Prabang.

This morning, your private guide will pick you up to the pier where you will board a traditional long tail on the Mekong River. During the journey, you can enjoy breathtaking view of the tranquil countryside. En route, you will stop at Ban Xang Hai village, which is famous for local rice wine (Laos whiskey).

Then, you will reach Pak Ou caves at the confluence of the Mekong and Nam Ou Rivers. In the two linked caves display hundreds of sacred centuries-old Buddha statues which are the objects of pilgrimage during the Lao New Year festivities around mid-April. Return to hotel after the tour. The rest of time is free at leisure.

After breakfast, you are free to relax until your guide pick you up railway station for taking a high-speed train to Vang Vieng. Enjoy the scenic countryside along the way. Today, your guide will take you to explore some attractions around Vang Vieng. Take a mountain bike or Tuk Tuk and cross the Nam Song River via a bamboo bridge, you will arrive at Tham Poukham' (Blue Lagoon), one of the most miraculous caves with a beautiful blue lagoon.

Next, you will head to Tam Jang cave with 172 steps where you can admire the spectacular views of the city and the idyllic countryside. Then you will transfer to the ethnic Khmu village of Viengsamay. From here, you will enjoy a trip down the beautiful Nam Song river by kayaking.

After the tour, we will drive to Vientiane, the capital of Laos. About 2 hours later, you will arrive in Vientiane then transfer to hotel. After check- in, you can relax at hotel or explore the surroundings on your own.

Today, your private guide will take you to explore the hidden charms of Vientiane. You will firstly drive to the Buddha Park. Set in the parkland on the banks of the Mekong, it is filled with over 200 Buddhist and Hindu statues. Spend some time exploring the park. Afterward, drive back to downtown.

After lunch, you will continue to visit Wat Si Saket which is the oldest surviving temple with thousands of Buddhist images. You will also visit the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo, which houses the famous Emerald Buddha Image.

Next, proceed to the That Luang monument, a gold-covered large Buddhist stupa which is generally regarded as the national symbol of Laos. Continue to visit the Victory Monument dedicated to those who gave their lives for Laos independence. Built to resemble Paris’ Arc de Triomphe, Patuxai offers a stunning view of the town and the Mekong River. A spectacular view over the Mekong River at sunset is a perfect way to end the day.

In the morning, you will transfer to airport for taking a flight to Pakse, the biggest city of the Southern Laos. Upon arrival, your private guide will welcome you and take you to visit Boloven Plateau.

The road climbs in elevation as you ascend onto the Plateau. You will first arrive at the area of Volcanic Rock. It is famous for green suburb tea and coffee plantations which thrive on the rich soil and the cooler climate.

Then go on to Tad Fane Waterfall, a majestic double waterfall with a height of about 140m falls into the valley below. You can enjoy picturesque views of the waterfall from a viewing platform. A further 2km from Tad Fane through the coffee plantations is Tad Yuang Waterfall, the perfect place to cool down and swim in the pool below the waterfall. Transfer back to Pakse in the late afternoon.

After breakfast, you will depart for Champasak and visit the temple ruins of Wat Phou. Wat Phu is a 12th century Brahmin complex with Khmer-style, situated at the foot of Phu Kao. The entire building complex is large in scale. Now, only the ruins are left standing in the peaceful wilderness, silently telling the glory of the past.

In the afternoon, you will head to 4000 island area. On arrival, take a boat to Don Khong and check in hotel. Afterwards, spend your time exploring the largest island located in the Mekong River, southern Laos. Take a bicycle or motorbike, you will stroll around the village and enjoy the beautiful views of the Lower Mekong River, Don Det Island and the mountains of Cambodia.

After breakfast, transfer to Ban Nakasang where you start your cruise to Don Khone. There, you can re-trace the French colonial times as the old pier, stream railway, French buildings still stand.

Continue to visit the marvelous Liphi waterfall, one of the most beautiful waterfalls marking Lao border and Cambodia. If you are lucky, you may even see the rare freshwater Irrawaddy Mekong dolphin at Ban Hang Khone.

Then, we return to the mainland at village of Ban Nakasang and drive further south to visit Khone Phapheng. Khone Phapheng is regarded as the pearl of Mekong River for it is the largest and most spectacular waterfall in volume in South East Asia. Beside the grand waterfall, you can enjoy a coffee and relaxing time. After that, drive back to Pakse and enjoy the beautiful Champasak countryside along the way.
