This is a 5-day ski and snowboard tour from Nagano of Japan. It will take you to two ski resorts in Shiga Kogen where skiers and snowboarders of all levels, from beginners to experts can enjoy winter sports. After heading to Shiga Kogen area, a walking tour takes you to the Jigokudani Snow Monkey Park to see the cute sight of wild monkeys bathing in onsen with a snow-covered landscape. Enjoy the winter with amazing Japow in Japan!

Welcome to Japan! On arrival in Tokyo, your private guide will be ready to welcome you at the airport, proceed to railway station for taking a train to Nagano.

On arrival in Nagano, transfer to your hotel in Shiga Kogen Ski Area by private car.

Upon arrival at Shiga Kogen Prince Hotel, you will be free for leisure.

Ichinose, Terakoya and Takamagahara are the very center of Shiga Kogen. There are many large ski in/ski out hotels in this area.

The main road bisects the area, and Ichinose Diamond and Ichinose Yamanokami areas are on the West of the road, while the rest of the resorts are on the East. There is a lift accessed bridge across the road between Ichinose Family and Ichinose Diamond.

Ichinose Family Ski Field, like the name implies is good for families, as the main 3 lifts, nice snow fields for ski beginners and 1 Kids Park, fun for the whole family in a whole day!

In the late day, back to hotel and soak in the onsen for relax.

This is the largest ski resort in Shiga Kogen! From the tops there are many different routes down, with something to suit all abilities.

With the hotels offering true ski in / ski out access to the slopes, this is definitely a location you should look at for your Shiga Kogen Vacation.

Enjoy up to 4 hours of skiing and snowboarding. There is also an Olympic course where many international competitions have been held, such as the slalom race at the Nagano Winter Olympics. Give it a try!

This is a park where you can observe the ecology of wild Japanese macaques (monkey) up close.

Wild monkeys spend their daily lives soaking in hot springs surrounded by pure white snow to withstand the harsh cold. It looks like a group of hot spring enthusiasts gathered together in the snowy scenery and enjoying a relaxing moment.

Please bring comfortable, non-slip shoes.

A bullet train to Nagano train station would be arranged. Back to Tokyo from Nagano. You may catch your departure flight from Tokyo.

Notice
  • Please wear clothes that are easy to move around in.
  • The time spent at each spot may be shortened depending on road conditions.
  • Entry to areas that require an additional fee is not included.
  • This tour does not include admission to the observation deck.
Important notice at Jigokudani Monkey Park
- Equipment: Be sure to bring winter shoes (non-slip and waterproof). If you have a simple anti-slip pads, please bring them with you.

  • Although the snowy road is a flat promenade, it is an unpaved road and can be extremely slippery.
  • Please participate in the tour wearing warm clothes. Participants observe monkeys in a cold field.
  • The number of visitors increases dramatically in winter, and it may be difficult to observe the monkeys or take a break indoors.
  • Monkeys bathe in hot springs to warm themselves up from the harsh winter cold. Even in winter, monkeys may not bath the hot springs if it is warm.
Important notice for skiing and snowboarding
  • Lunch not provided but available at the ski resort.
  • You don’t need a lift pass to join our free ski/snowboarding lessons. However, if you’re a fast learner and would want to ride the chairlifts, you can buy a “ride ticket” which costs around 400-600yen per ride. On average, beginners only take the chairlifts 4-5 times the entire weekend.
  • On the day of departure, the ski resort may suddenly close due to strong winds, snowstorms, etc.
  • If some of the slopes are open for skiing (one or more lifts and one or more ski courses are available), tours will generally be held.
  • Lifts, schools, board parks, etc. may be unavailable without notice due to weather, slope conditions, etc. (Refunds cannot be made in this case.)
  • The ski resort may be closed during nighttime depending on snow conditions. In that case, no refunds will be given even if you are unable to play skiing or snowboarding.
  • There are no refunds for each plan menu such as lift tickets, regardless of whether they are used or not.
  • Rental option equipment will be handed over at Shiga Kogen Prince Hotel.
  • The number of rental equipment is limited. Rental requests for sizes other than those listed will not be accepted. It is not possible to change items or rent multiple items on the day. Also, you cannot choose the rental item, design, or color.
  • No refunds will be given even if you do not use the rental option you applied for.
  • Please return rented items at your own risk. We are not responsible for any damage, theft, or loss. The customer will be responsible for the compensation.
