This tour starts from Tokyo and ends in Osaka. It is a food trip that takes 11 days taking you through Tokyo, Kanazawa, Kyoto, Nara and Osaka. It combines elements of Japanese cuisine, traditional spiritual heritage, and contemporary architectural feats. Along the way, you will experience Sushi cooking class, Whisky tasting, the Geisha dinner, Ramen and Matcha making as well as wandering in local markets. This 11-day itinerary offers a hands-on and immersive experience into both traditional cuisines and the most important landmarks of Japan.
Welcome to Japan! On arrival in Tokyo, your private guide will be ready to welcome you at the airport. You will be transferred to your hotel with a private car and driver. After check-in in hotel, you can head out to explore Shibuya's backstreets in search of sake or a couple of local cocktails.

Kick off the day with a walk around the famous Tsukiji Fish Market. Your guide leads you through the sprawling, 80-year-old market to visit fishmongers and food vendors. Sample a range of sushi, Japanese-style omelets, fried fish cakes, sake, and Japanese tea on this in-depth experience of the legendary market.
After, learn the art of sushi making firsthand – it's the quintessential Edo-era specialty and possibly Japan's most famous culinary gift to the world. Hear about the history of sushi, how to choose the best fish, learn proper slicing and rice-making techniques and sample some seriously fresh sushi.
Continue to Asakusa, Tokyo's old town. Here, enter the massive gates to the ancient Buddhist temple of Senso-ji, which is Tokyo's oldest temple and wander down Nakamise, a shopping street that for centuries has been providing temple visitors with many traditional local snacks and souvenirs.
If you’ve got a sweet tooth, then Asakusa is the place to get your sugar fix. Try fried sweet potatoes tossed in sugar and soy or sweet red bean paste sandwiched between baked pancake batter.

After breakfast we transfer to Tokyo Station to ride Japan’s renowned Shinkansen bullet train to Kanazawa. It is positioned between the volcanic soils of the Japanese Alps and the abundant Sea of Japan, offering an incredible array of seasonal food choices.
Meander the slender lanes of Higashi Chaya District. With its well-preserved streets and old wooden tea houses, this is where geisha perform music and dance for small private functions.
In the evening, join your leader for an optional dinner to sample local dishes bursting with regional flavour, particularly fresh seafood from the Sea of Japan. A 1-hour drive will take you to Shirakawa-go, the fairy tale world made of traditional gassho-zukuri farmhouses hidden in picturesque river valley. Marvel at the traditional gassho-style farmhouses, their distinctive thatched roofs forming a harmonious landscape against the backdrop of the Japanese Alps.
Take off the shoes and explore the living room, guest room, butsuma, and so on inside Wada House to get an idea of how people lived back then. Thereafter, check out the great view of this area at Shirakawa-go Observation Deck.
After that, travel to Kyoto on the Shinkansen. Kyoto, a city regarded as the cultural heart of Japan.
After arrival, check-in at your hotel and have a rest before participating in a well-choreographed special dinner experience at a traditional tea house in Gion District. You will be treated to a feast of traditional Japanese cuisine while being entertained by a Geisha, who will sing, play musical instruments, and perform for you.

Then, visit Kinkakuji Temple, also known as Golden Pavilion as it's covered in gold leaf. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is in a beautiful garden with a pond.
Have yourselves some local snacks at Nishiki Market. You'll find lots of interesting food stalls and shops selling anything from traditional Japanese candy to fresh seafood.
Finish the day's visits at Arashiyama, a mountainous Kyoto district famous for its beautiful bamboo groves, Togetsukyo Bridge over Katsura River, and serene atmosphere.
